This oil-in-water sunscreen lotion formulation is designed to provide globally broad spectrum, label SPF 50 performance. AvoBrite™ provides good photostability for Avobenzone, protecting it from photo-degradation and improving sunscreen performance. Olivem® 1000, our self-emulsifying biomimetic multifunction ingredient, is the basis for a stable emulsion. HallBrite® BHB is included to enhance spreadability and contribute to elegant emollience. In vitro analysis delivered SPF ~ 57, PFA (PPD) ~18, PA ++++, broad spectrum performance with critical wavelength 377 nm.

4 | When both phases are homogeneous and at their designated temperatures, slowly add phase ABC to phase DE with prop mixing. |
5 | Start homogenizing phase ABCDE for 3 minutes, then switch to center mixing. |
6 | Add premixed phase F (Triethanolamine level adjusted as need be for pH 7.5-8.0) to phase ABCDE. |
