This simple formulation base yields clear sticks at up to 1% fragrance when a freshly produced, high quality grade of glycerin is utilized. Sodium Stearate OP-100 V delivers a lower stick solidification (set) point than Sodium Stearate OP-200V. Lower Spectrasolv® DMDA use levels increase stick gelling temperature. Increased fragrance levels reduce stick set point.

PREPARATIVE PROCEDURE
1 | To a vessel with appropriate mixing and handling capabilities add phase A, start mixing and heat to 80°C. |
2 | Add phase B and, when the batch is crystal clear and completely free of undissolved phase B, add phase C items. |
3 | When batch is again completely clear, correct for any water loss and commence very slow cooling. |
4 | Stop cooling at 5 - 10°C above batch solidification / gelation point and fill product into containers. |
