This water-in-oil sunscreen lotion delivers SPF 70 performance without using organic UV filters. The HallBrite® BHB (Butyloctyl Salicylate) in HallBrite® EZ-FLO TDX aids wetting and dispersion of the titanium dioxide and contributes to enhanced product feel.
Five person in vivo testing yielded static SPF 80 and passed 80 minute water resistance testing with SPF 80. In vitro analysis delivered SPF ~75, PFA (PPD) ~21 performance with critical wavelength 375 nm.

PREPARATIVE PROCEDURE
1 | To the main vessel, add phase A and start mixing, add phase B, and heat to 80°C. |
2 | Add phase C into AB, and mix well until uniform. |
3 | To a secondary vessel add liquids of phase D, start mixing, then add solids and heat this phase to 80°C. |
4 | When both phases are homogenous at their designated temperature, start homogenizing phase ABC. |
5 | Very slowly add phase D to phase ABC. |
6 | Start to cool to room temperature. When less than 50°C, add phase E into phase ABCD. |
