Sunscreen Cream SPF 50

Very rapid singlet state quencher SolaStay® S1 is utilized to impart photostability to Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane (Avobenzone). This composition was subjected to in vitro analysis and delivered SPF ~60, PFA (PPD) ~21 performance with critical wavelength 378 nm.

1In a secondary Vessel, combine Phase A and mix well. Disolve Phase B with mixing, and heat AB to 80C
2Add phase C with mixing until homogenous
3In the mian vessel, add water of phase D, and dissolve EDTA. When EDTA dissolve, add Xanthan gum and mix until fully incorporated
4Heat main vessel to 80C. Add premix of phase E
5When Oil phase (ABC) and water phase (DE) are both homogeneous and at designated temperatures, slowly add ABC into DE with prop mixing
6Homogenize for 3 mins. Resume prop mixing, and start cool down with mixing.
7Add premixed phase F into ABCDE (pH 7.5-8.0)
8When batch is >50C, add phase G individualy with mixing
9When the batch is uniform, add deionized water to correct for evaporative losses. Continue mixing with smooth.
