Brand: CoAmide™

CoAmide™ ASC is a modified coconut poly-diethanolamide designed for use in aqueous systems incorporating alkaline builders. Because of its unusually high compatibility with alkaline materials, up to twice the normal amounts of phosphate builders may be incorporated into concentrated cleansers or similar products.

CoAmide™ ASC can increase the viscosity of liquid potash soaps at an approximately 5% use level, with no deleterious effects on the foam characteristics of the soap. Cleansers of this type, incorporating 1-2% Sodium Tripolyphosphate (STPP; Pentasodium Triphosphate), are used in preparations for metal finishing, and for painted surfaces, as their excellent detergency and free rinsing properties leave a film-free surface.

In many systems CoAmide™ ASC may function as a corrosion inhibitor.
