Florasolvs® Jojoba-80 is a water-soluble ethoxylated jojoba ester which provides jojoba emolliency for cosmetic formulations and imparts high slip. This versatile, biodegradable emollient functions as a secondary emulsifier (HLB 17.0 and near neutral pH) and provides viscosity adjustment in hair care formulations. It also delivers clarity and payout in stick products and fragrance oil solubilization in aqueous solutions.
Florasolvs® Jojoba-80 is particularly well suited for hair care formulations such as shampoos, conditioners and hair styling products. It has good clarity when dissolved in water and does not negatively influence foam properties. Depending on application and use level, Florasolvs® PEG-80 Jojoba functions as a solubilizer, secondary emulsifier, source of jojoba emolliency, conditioner, cleanser and fragrance solubilizer.
Suggested use levels for Florasolvs® Jojoba-80 are 2 – 5% in aftershaves, 0.5 – 1% in bath oils, 1 – 5% in cleansers, 0.5 – 5% in creams & lotions, 1 – 3% in colognes, 1 – 5% in nail care, 0.2 – 5% in shampoos, 1 – 3% in skin fresheners and 0.3 – 3% in styling gels.. The shelf life for Florasolvs® Jojoba-80 is 24 months when stored in closed containers below 40°C in well ventilated areas. JCIC: MHW approved.
