PREPARATIVE PROCEDURE
In a suitable vessel, combine Phase A ingredients one by one using dispersion blade or homogenizer mixing. Mix well for 30 minutes or visually confirm all pigments are wetted completely.
In a separate suitable vessel, combine Phase B ingredients one by one and mix well. Ensure that all the sodium chloride is solubilized. The solution should be slightly translucent/turbid due to the preservative.
While mixing with dispersion blade or homogenizer mixing, slowly add Phase B into Phase A in small portions, allowing Phase A to recover viscosity in between additions. Batch will begin to thicken as Phase B is completely added.
Ensure the emulsion is uniform and homogenous before discontinuing mixing.
