This zinc oxide-only, water-in-oil sunscreen spray uses the non-nano HallBrite® ZDX Clear zinc oxide dispersion to provide cost-effective SPF 50+ UV protection while remaining essentially transparent on the skin. The formulation boasts excellent sprayability and a light skin feel despite its high ZnO load. The combination of HallSens™ OI and HallStar® C1215 Alkyl Benzoate Natural helps to achieve outstanding mineral dispersancy as well as excellent spreadibility and feel on skin. Mineral Mist SPF 50’s formulation is a cold processed W/O emulsion stabilized with a single emulsifier — Olivem® 2090 — which also contributes to the easy-to-spread texture, making both the efficacy and texture memorable. In vitro analysis suggests SPF of approximately ~52, PFA (PPD) 24, UVA1/UV = 0.86, and a critical wavelength of 376 nm.

PREPARATIVE PROCEDURE
