HallStar® HCO, Hydrogenated Castor Oil is a high purity castor-based ingredient derived from vegetable feedstock. It is a waxy off-white solid with a mild odor at room temperature, and finds application as an emollient, emulsifier, and surfactant, providing moisturizing and conditioning properties. It helps blend oil and water-based ingredients, improves product texture, and can help with product spread ability. It also acts as a solubilizer and viscosity builder and structuring aid in stick applications. It is widely used as a component in hair care, make-up, cleanser, soap and stick products.
