Surfinesse™ Hydra is a novel, eco-friendly and PEG-free water-soluble emollient obtained through the reaction between polyglyceryl-10 and a mixture of olive oil fatty acids and pelargonic acid. The resulting emollient demonstrates excellent water solubility, facilitating easy incorporation into aqueous and detergent formulations. Preliminary tests of Surfinesse™ Hydra show a mitigating effect on Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) -induced skin irritation, as evidenced by reduced erythema and skin oedema responses compared with SLS alone.
