This mineral UV filters only, oil-in-water SPF 50 sunscreen lotion using non-nano zinc oxide to provide UV protection. It boasts a light skin feel and low viscosity, despite its high ZnO load. The cold-processable formulation is stabilized with a single emulsifier and no high melting point materials. Liquid Skin Defense’s combination of HallBrite® ZDX Clear and Biochemica® Turmeric Butter provides additional structuring and multifunctional skin benefits. It was subjected to in vitro analysis and delivered SPF ~ 52, PFA (PPD) 17, UVA1/UV = 0.80, performance with critical wavelength 372 nm.

PREPARATIVE PROCEDURE
| 1 | To a secondary vessel add phase A, heat up to melt Biochemica® Turmeric Butter with mixing until uniform, then turn off heat. |
