This zinc oxide-only, water-in-oil SPF 50 sunscreen spray uses zinc oxide only to provide UV protection. It boasts excellent spray properties and a light skin-feel despite its relatively high ZnO load. HallSens™ DIAS is the sole carrier in the oil phase, helping to achieve outstanding dispersibility. Mineral Mist SPF 50 is stabilized with a single emulsifier—Olivem® 2090—and contains no high-melting-point materials. The cold-process formulation was subjected to in vitro analysis, delivering an SPF of approximately 54, PFA (PPD) 21, UVA1/UV = 0.84, and a critical wavelength of 376 nm.

PREPARATIVE PROCEDURE
| 1 | To the main vessel, add phase A with mixing until uniform, then add phase B in. |
| 2 | To a secondary vessel add phase C. |
| 3 | When AB and C phases are homogeneous, very slowly add phase C to phase AB. |
| 4 | After combination, strongly mix or homogenize for 10 minutes. |
