Zinc-or-Swim W/O Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30

This water-in-oil sunscreen provides broad spectrum sun protection. HallBrite® BHB (Butyloctyl Salicylate) in HallBrite® EZ-FLO ZDX contributes a very good dispersion for zinc oxide. In vitro analysis suggests SPF ~ 33, PFA (PPD) ~7, PA ++, performance with critical wavelength 375 nm.

PREPARATIVE PROCEDURE

1To the main Vessel, add phase A and start mixing. Add phase B with mixing. Start heat to 75°C.
2Add phase C into phase AB, and mix well until uniform.
3To a secondary vessel add phase D, start mixing until fully incorporated. Heat up to 70°C.
4When both phases are homogenous at their designated temperature, Start homogenizing phase ABC.
5Very slowly add phase D to phase ABC.
6Start to cool to room temperature. When < 50°C, add phase E into phase ABCD.
