Synovea® EL is hydrolyzed in-vivo into linoleic acid (an essential fatty acid needed for skin nourishment) and can provide all the benefits of linoleic acid with the advantage of improved stability and ease of use in formulation. Some of those benefits include maintaining barrier function and hydration, maintaining stratum corneum acidity, decreasing sebaceous gland activity, and regulating follicular keratinization.
