This light, non-greasy anti-sand sunscreen gel delivers a hassle-free sun protection experience. It can be applied to wet skin without any whitening effect, and its dry finish allows sand to be easily brushed off. SolaStay® S1 provides very rapid and efficient quenching of excited-state Avobenzone, protecting the UV filter from photo-degradation and thus improving sunscreen performance. In addition, the HallBrite® BHB in SolaStay® S1 provides sunscreen solvency and emolliency. In vitro testing suggests SPF ~40, PFA (PPD) ~16 performance with critical wavelength = 378 nm. Water resistance surpassed 4 hours when tested in house via in vitro method.
