HallStar® Octyl Isononanoate

HallStar® Octyl Isononanoate is the reaction product of isononanoic acid and 2-ethylhexyl alcohol. It is used as an emollient and resin plasticizer. It has a low freeze point and low viscosity that reduce the tackiness of heavier emollients, enhancing skin feel.

HallStar® OP

HallStar® OP is a multifunctional synthetically produced ester of 2-ethylhexanol and palmitic acid. It is a cost effective, non-oily, non-occlusive emollient with a rich velvety feel. HallStar® OP is broadly utilized in personal care product formulations.

HallStar® PEG 400 DS MB

HallStar® PEG 400 DS is an ester made from the reaction of triple pressed stearic acid and polyethylene glycol. An emulsifier and emollient, it is commonly used in underarm antiperspirant stick products to aid removability from skin when showering or bathing and from clothing when laundered.

HallStar® PEG 4400 MS MB

HallStar® PEG 4400 MS is a high HLB nonionic emulsifier. It is supplied as an off-white to light tan flake with characteristic slightly fatty odor. It is frequently used in conjunction with a low HLB emulsifier (e.g., Glyceryl Stearate) to produce stable oil-in-water (O/W) emulsions.

HallStar® PEG 600 DL

HallStar® PEG 600 DL is the esterification product from the reaction of coco-derived fatty acids and polyethylene glycol. It is used as an emulsifier (HLB 11.7) and emollient.

HallStar® PEG 6000 DS

HallStar® PEG 6000 DS is a 100% active polyethylene glycol distearate ester used to thicken aqueous mild surfactant systems.

HallStar® PEG 6000 DS C

HallStar® PEG 6000 DS C is a stearate ester of polyethylene glycol used to thicken aqueous mild surfactant systems. It is particularly suited to systems where clarity is a must.

HallStar® TA-1618 Cetearyl Alcohol

HallStar® TA-1618 Cetearyl Alc is a fatty alcohol derived entirely from vegetable (coconut and/or palm kernel, supplemented with palm oil stearine) feedstocks. It is used as a emulsion bodifier, stabilizer and thickener, as an opacifier in various systems and as a component of creme rinse hair conditioners.

Potassium Stearate OPK-1000 MB

Potassium Stearate OPK-1000 is a potassium stearate that is predominantly potassium salts of C16 and C18 fatty acids. It finds application as a primary cleansing agent in various products for hair, face and body. It may also be used as a lubricant and/or stabilizer in polyolefin PVC and acrylic rubber manufacture.

RTD Alpha-Bisabolol Natural

RTD Alpha-Bisabolol Natural a naturally-derived, optically active, viscous colorless to somewhat yellow liquid with slight floral wood odor. Bisabolol has been shown to possess anti-inflammatory and wound healing properties as well as antimycotic and antibacterial effects, and so is suitable for various skin care applications. Alpha-Bisabolol Natural used at low levels (0.1 – 1.0%) is active, safe, and skin compatible.

RTD HC-40

RTD HC-40 is a high HLB (~13) surfactant produced through the ethoxylation of hydrogenated Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil. It is widely utilized as a solubilizer, emulsifier and skin conditioning agent. As a nonionic emulsifier and solubilizer, it is compatible with nonionic, cationic and anionic surfactants and is effective even in systems that are relatively salty, acidic or alkaline. RTD HC-40 is an excellent solubilizer for perfume oils and may also be used as a co-emulsifier in the formulation of creams and lotions.

RTD IS-20

RTD IS-20 is a high HLB (~14) nonionic surfactant produced through the ethoxylation of Isostearyl Alcohol. It is a soft whitish paste that is used to solubilize fragrances, essential oils, and other hydrophobic compounds in aqueous systems. Used in aerosol products, it generates foam in conjunction with the propellant. With other surfactants, it also acts as a co-emulsifier.

Sodium Stearate OP-100 V MB

Sodium Stearate OP-100 V is a vegetable-derived Sodium Stearate consisting primarily of the sodium salts of saturated C16 and C18 fatty acids. This fine white powder is used as a gelling agent in deodorant sticks, a structurant for bar soaps and a co-emulsifier. Hasten solution by adding to hot water (>80°C).

Sodium Stearate OP-200V

Sodium Stearate OP-200V is a vegetable-based sodium stearate consisting primarily of the sodium salts of saturated C16 and C18 fatty acids, but also including a defined proportion of C20 and C22 fatty acids to increase the melt point and decrease the payout of hydroglycolic sticks made with it. Its primary use is as a gelling agent for deodorant and fragrance sticks. It may also be used in bar soaps as a structurant, and in creams and lotions as an emulsion stabilizer.

Spectrasolv® DMDA

Spectrasolv® DMDA (Dimethyl Capramide) is multifunctional amide. Its sunscreen active solvency is vastly superior to traditional esters such as C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, and its high polarity may have a positive impact on Avobenzone in broad-spectrum sunscreens.
